Set of two pillowcases, naturally dyed and eco-printed in a mauve, orange and purple color scheme. Luxe 100% silk pillowcases for standard size pillows. Natural dye flowers and materials such as marigolds, coreopsis, cosmos, logwood and osage orange shavings were used for a beautiful water color tie dye effect. Over dyed with madder root and soda ash for the soft purple/pink shade.
Madder root creates a beautiful coral/red/raspberry color. The red comes from the root of the plant. Historically, this is one of the oldest natural dyes used- dating back to 1500 BC in Central Asia + the Middle East.
